Q. How do i register/join ChristianSpaces.com?
A. You need to browse to http://www.christianspaces.com then click on Join Us Now it's free in the middle of the page or click on Create an Account in the top right hand corner of your browser, if you are still unable to create an account this click on this register link; http://www.christianspaces.com/home/register.html.
Q. I tried to upload my avatar/profile picture but nothing happened?
A. This issue is normally caused by the size of the dimensions of the images. You have a restriction on the size you are allowed to upload of 3000px by 3000px. Anything smaller than that can be resized to fit you profile size. The physical size limit for an image is 10mb. If you are still having issue with uploading a profile image then feel free to report this issue to us as This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
Q. Can i change my privacy settings?
Yes from within your profile you can change some of your privacy settings, if you want to change yours select Profile on the menu then select Privacy, here you will find all the options available to you.
Q. What's the difference between Edit Details & Edit Profile?
A. Within your profile you have 2 options, one is for your login/logon information(Edit Details), this allows you to change your registered password/email and amend you language settings. Edit Profile is for the social network and allow you to give your friends more information about you.
Q. How do i remove my profile picture?
A. Unlike some Social Networks we allow you to revert back to a default avatar if you're not happy with your profile picture, to do this Select profile from the menu, then select Change Profile Picture. Within the upload photo section you will find a small link to remove profile picture.
Q. Can i create my own unique URL for ChristianSpace.com?
A. Yes you can no social network would be complete without this option, if you want to create your own "Vanity" URL you need to click on and go to preferences. Within here you will find the option for amending you URL, please note though as this community grows we will be unable to provide exactly what name you require. Additionally any abuse of this feature will result in your profile being banned with no warning.
Q. How do i add/remove applications?
A. We've tried to make this as simple as possible, to add an application click on Applications, select My Applications. You will now see a blank copy of you profile, this will allow you to Add an application and select where it will appear on your profile. Click to Add applications now look through the list available and select add. Once added you have few options available to you.
- The lock allows you to change the privacy permissions on the application - you can restrict who see's this application as an example
- The cog is to allow for configuration of the application, so applications do not require an configuration
- The information icon gives you information about the application developer
If you want to remove an application access "My applications" again then hold you mouse over the application you want to remove, you will see a cross appear to the left of the name, click here to remove the application.
Q. How do i add/remove events?
A. Creating events couldn't be simpler with ChristianSpaces, just click Events on the top menu then select Create, this will now provide you with some boxes that you need to complete inorder to create the event. Once you select create you will see a almost profile like page for the event, here you can customise the look of the event by amending the event avatar. You can also invite your friends to the event, dependant on the permissions set for the event they can then invite their friends and so the event can grow.
If you want to delete an event you can do this in just a few clicks. From you profile click Events then select My Events. Here you will see a list of your events, click on the event now on the right hand side you will see an option to Delete the event, click on this you will at this point be asked to confirm if you are sure you want to do this, select Delete. You will now see the event and all it's contents being deleted.
Q. How do i add/remove Groups?
A. We've tried to make the adding/removing of groups as easy as possible to help encourage your and your friends to build this community. To add a new group you need to click on Groups on the menu then select Create. Now you have to fill in information about the group and then slect create. As with events once you've created the group you have options to amend the setup(pictures/videos/events) as well as create a bulletin board. You can also invite friends to be a part of the group.
If you want to delete a group you need to click Groups then select My Groups, now find the group you want to delete and click on it now as the owner of the group you will see and option to Delete Group. Click on this you will be asked if you are sure that you want to delete this group, click delete you will see the group will now delete from the system.
Q. How do i report a user/group/event?
A. At any point you see something you do not approve of or think fits with the ethics of this community you can report it us, every friend, group or event has an option in the top right for you to report this item. When you select event you are given a couple of options to help us get to your query quicker.
Q. Can I remove a friend?
A. Yes if you want to remove a friend click on Friends then select show all, now find the friend you want to remove, under their profile picture you will see an option to Remove friend, when you click on this you will receive an option to block this person as well, if you select this the person will never be able to contact you through the site again.
Q. How do i create a photo album?
A. There are a couple of different ways to create an Album the easier way is to click on Photo's from the menu then select Create Album now give the your album a name and description. Once your happy then click Create, this will now create the Album, you will be redirected to a location where you can begin to upload images to your newly created Album.
Q. Can i disable like/unlike on my profile?
A. We understand that this may be a feature that no everyone likes, to disable this feature click on Profile on the menu then select Preferences. You will now see an option to "Allow Likes/Unlike on my profile"
Q. Upload of YouTube link says "invalid provider"?
This error is being caused by a recent change of how Yoube present their links for sharing, to get round this when you wan tto share a link from youtibe just copy the link from the address bar in your browser and use this.

Q. How to import contacts from external sources
A. Once logged onto the site if you select the friends menu option you will see Invite friends as an option click on this to be taken to the invite portal. Now at the top of the page you will see this line of text:
